A lifelong Aviation enthusiast, Dave Schmidtman began his aviation career as a Scholarship graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University where he majored in both Aviation Maintenance Management and Avionics Technologies.  He served as a member of the school’s FAA Part 145 Engine Overhaul and Repair facility while in attendance and was responsible for instruction on the Major Overhaul and Repair of both Lycoming and Continental engines and accessories utilized on the Universities’ fleet of single engine and multiengine flight school aircraft.  He earned both his Airframe and Powerplant License as well as his Inspection Authorization along the way.

An ATP Multiengine Instrument Rated Pilot, Dave has accumulated over 8000 hours in everything from Cessna 152s thru flying the Boeing 727 for several Air Cargo Operations.  His passion for flying both big and small has derived experience in Part 91, Part 135 Air Charter and Part 121 Air Carrier Operations.  He has owned and operated over eight aircraft over the last 20 years including the formation and operation of a Part 135 Air Charter Certificate for a number of years as well as towing gliders for a Soaring Flight School.
